THIS IS GREAT!
This conversation is incredible in the fact of it is so true to life. This is exactly what you will see once Hussein Obama gets into action on this topic. Here we have a liberal (Xeno) trying to be the moderator standing in the middle of the battlefield with a peace offering to both sides trying to somehow make peace. This is great!
The problems between Palestine and Israel started a lot longer than 1917 as one blogger commented. I was not born in 1917, actually 1961, but even when I was 5 years old, I remember people over there protesting in the streets, burning American flags and hating Israel. Then the Palestinians decided they would escalate the whole terrorist approach. All I know is if both of you are going to fight then do it and stop picking at each other. Or course, terrorist are not brave enough to wage a real war. It's like two brothers picking at each other, gee what does that make you think of, hmm? The whole terrorists thing in the middle east must be defeated no matter who is doing it. In my view Israel is right. I will always support Israel.
Good luck Xeno because you are showing all of us how Hussein Obama would do it. Do me a favor, I think you can see already the whole facts, logic and reasoning approach is crap. Sort of like the real world wouldn't you say? Of course we all know no matter how Hussein Obama handles this he will be heralded as a total success. So check out how the guy you voted for will handle this issue, I am sure it will be amusing to watch. Good luck!

I will state the case! Israel stole Palestinian lands beginning in 1917 with the Balfour declaration. Britain didn't own Palestine to give to the rich Germanic/Ashkenazi Jews. In exchange for America entering the war, those Jews wanted Palestine. America entered and so the Jews got what they wanted. Britain was made to honor the agreement when their prominent politicians were assasinated. Still, Palestine was willing to accept the 1967 borders. But, Israel won't. They have hundreds of nuclear weapons and Palestine has none! These weapons are pointed to the middle-east and European capitals to ensure compliance. This is why no Arab state has come out strongly against Israel. The western countries are similarly blackmailed into acquiesence! Does this astound you! The freaking zionists have planned this all out very nicely! I would be glad to oblige you with source material. But, the truith that is intuited has no physical source!

I think I do understand your point of view -- that many have been displaced from their lands.
For people to listen better, they have to perceive the speaker as non-violent -- the side that the speaker is on as nonviolent. Hamas is perceived as a terrorist organization. Violent activities have to stop. I do believe that Palestinians have been recipients of unfair treatment. Still, a certain percentage of public opinion is against Hamas. Ceasing violent acts is perferrable to a bad public perception.
