We all have talents
Some hidden, some less so; some recognized, some not.

Hi, Nor - I think bullies in education come with the territory.  My sister-in-law (elementary school special ed) has a tough time with her principal.  And my Aunt (4th grade) always believed that the school administration got in the way of her teaching.  Sad to say, but the way of the world.  Mal

Metalrat

she scratches him when he is too rough and I have no sympathy. Mean Mummy I know

but it is her way of letting him know. then on the other hand she does take heaps from him. Being picked up like a rag and dragged around hugged close to his hip she almost looks like a floppy toy cat at times. I think she lets herself go limp when he picks her up and she goes back for more and plays with him. When she has had enough she scratches or runs away. She is a smart cat.

It is far easier to pull someone down off a pedestal...
...than for them to pull you up onto it, so the bullies take the path of least resistence in order to feel equal.
I'm surprised Mitzie plays with your son like that, because small children don't know how to be gentle with animals, especially cats.

I love the image of your son and his kitty playing together.
