thank you for your comments, they are quite encouraging and very much appreciated, as one writer to another :)
You are right about the hint of anger in the writing..the childhood was not as bad as the poem might suggests but certain issues have tainted some of the memories that we should look back on with a smile, and for that yes I am angry. For I beleive that children should remain children for as long as possible...sadly circumstances often dictate otherwise and prematurely throw us into the realm of adult responsibilities. Then again, had things been different, I might not have any desire to write at all today.. :)

Boy oh Boy!
Maybe I'm wrong, but the poem suggests to me a releasing of anger and hurt from an awful childhood that the dreams won't let you forget???? I hope your childhood was not such

That third line always gets me/ very good!
