Isn’t it strange how we tend to lash out at or mistreat the ones we love the most…we all do it, we all regret it, and we all learn from (we hope).

we do strike those who are nearest
even when we just lash out from pain. I loved the phrase "just being my". Very nice poem - thank you for sharing it
