I'm with the Reverend!
I firmly believe my being gay is an immutable law of the universe, that I was created that way. Hooray for this man who, in my opinion, is speaking the truth. No less a religious icon than Bishop Tutu has basically said the same thing. It's what's in your soul, folks, not the sex of who you sleep with! -Bruce

People are really afraid of a man's opinion?
I am not one of them, but I do not agree with Mr. Bacon. Everyone is entitled to their opinion no matter what that may be. May I say that religion is not worth the time it takes to write it, but a relationship with God is everything? I will go on record as saying that when it comes to my choice for a romantic relationship, I have to give God lots of thanks for making woman. I'd hate to think that I had to wake up in the morning and a man be in my bed. That is so gross that I am about to barffffffff!  Excuse me. I am not into men. Thanks for sharing. I wish you continued success on your screen play writing and whatever other projects you undertake. I hope that someday to be a published author. Being a New York best seller would be icing and candles on the cake.

In these days we are living more, learning more and seeing more.  There's so much we will never know about spirituality and the infinite wisdom of God.  The way I see it all life is precious to God and we should not criticize others until we can criticize ourselves.

Enlightening piece!
God's Law is God's Law and ultimately correct! Interpretation is a whole 'nother ballgame! I like what Skye wrote. I have my own view, but won't go there. No matter whether correct or incorrect, at least the priest stands behind his heart and that is just as important as what you believe in!

Maybe it's a life style that needs to be lived
to learn a life lesson and to bring balance to the spirit.  Yen/Yang  Also maybe a chance to learn that one should not be judgemental.  It is not good or bad it just is.  We each walk an individual path.

Another opinion
I believe that the bible is a nice collection of fairy tales written to mostly scare people into behaving the way one group of power-hungry fanatics insisted was correct.  It is based on fear and shame.  God is many things to many different people and I hope this Reverend isn't chastised for speaking out, which probably will happen despite supporters of his opinion.
