Re: Auslander
We used to go to a very nice very little Indian restau. closed by U. of T King's Circle. They had the best Lassi ever! Not too much rose water, just perfect. As for the Chinese ones, I suggest to go with some Chinese and let them choose the meals (actually in the real Chinese restau. in Toronto, I couldn't READ the menu (in Chinese!), let alone choose what to eat.LOL).

Auslander
We have some great Indian restaurants (hundreds, actually) here in T.O. I tend to go through 'phases', as it were: 'Indian', 'Italian', 'Chinese', 'French' - the only thing to stay away from are Chinese buffets - while I enjoy freshly made Chinese food, if the stuff sits around in a steam table for too long, it's ghastly...

Maybe I tried the wrong resto in Montreal, but I wasn't crazy about the Indian cuisine we ate.

Yes, I always like that you get the second and perhaps
third meal out of Indian cuisine. When i lived in the city, I used to call my Indian on the way home on the train then pick it up on arrival
