I agree that as we age, most of us learn to discern what is worth our passion and what is not. I also believe that, in these times of swifter changes, we should pay attention to what youth has to say - not just disregard their voices because we think they are too young to be passionate about anything of consequence. Our children learn so much so soon now. Mutual listening is a win-win situation. Enjoyed your post.

Interesting isn't that we see the deeper definitions
and finer shades of meaning in things as we age.

I used to have such passionate likes and dislikes when I was younger and now I see relevance in many things that I previously pushed aside as irrelevant. It still means I am very passionate about things that I feel strongly for or against but it is tempered by the wisdom of experience and age and my passionate stances have broader definitions.
