Beautiful photos...
I think the entire Pacific Northwest was buried under lava at one time or other. The Columbia river cuts through lava flows hundreds of feet thick.

There are lava flows in the North country of BC and Alaskan Borders. A lovely drive in the summer.These remind me of being there. An Indian village has a school and library buildings faced with volcanic rock . Cool memories of long ago.We drove from Terrace B.C. north to New Ianish?sp . A wilderness with fantastic lakes and mountain roads.Logging roads can be rough!
