                    I agree about Norv Turner

TexasGem. He used to coach my Redskins and he did a much better job than he was given credit for.

                    What's even more laughable...

...is that if the Ravens play them, it will be in San Diego! In spite of the Raven's 12-5 record, which tells me they need to fix an obviously flawed system.

I do not think the Chargers were lucky.

They were better than their 8-8 record in the regular season. They played some real close games that they should have won and then there is the infamous game that the Ref gave away. Norv Turner is a good coach who gets a bad rap. They will have their hands full when they play the Steelers. The weather is somewhat different there than in sunny San Diego. Keep on writing Jolly. I love sports!

Certainly it was unfair that the 13-6 Giants were declared champions over the 18-1 Patriots. But the alternative would have been to simply declare the Patriots champions with no playoffs. Borrrrrrring.

Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, though I think the Chargers are one of the most talented teams in the league as they proved last night.  I like the division format.  You know who you have to beat to get in so win it.  If you don't, no tears from me.  Besides, I like a little "unfairness" in my sports.

I agree Jeff. I think the NFL should tinker with its format and let record determine where the playoffs are.
What I find interesting too is that even so the team is doing more with Norv Turner than with Marty Schottenheimer. I know Marty's teams chocked but Norv Turner???
