Son #1 was sitting at the table eating something yesterday when suddenly he went into spasms of movement. I thought he had gone insane. As it turned out, a spider (I think it was one of Charlotte's children) was coming down on a web from the ceiling fan, right in front of his face, but I could not see it from where I was. Needless to say, Charlotte may be holding a memorial service about now with the spider community of our abode. Meanwhile, Pitiful just kept staring at the other wall.

Muley,
I think you're onto something there. It's quite possible....or the spider (in my case) is trying to learn my schedule to get me.

LadyC,
Yeah, but are they
looking at us? I wonder that! And, what if they're nearsighted?

I think that cats are thinking
if I stare at this wall long enough, it will drive her up the wall. The spider is wondering How big of a web do I need to make to snare that big tasty dinner?
