So you were dreaming away, when our New Year arrived--
and I was online, while my Other was dozing on the couch, and so our new year began 3 minutes late.

CPK, that's not good, but could be worse!
I hope you're feeling better, and stay well away from spindles!
It does seem that a lot of proposals fall on the New Year--a most felicitous time for beginnings of great things!

Spent this New Year's Eve and most of the day in the hospital
A very small pulmonary embolism but it is enough for a long regimen of anti-coagulation.
A long time ago, I proposed to my now second ex-wife on New Year's Day after she returned from the Times Square NYE with her college friends.

I can see why you'd remember that one, TAPS!
My daughter Marika was asked on a New Year's, too. She also said yes!

Quiet evening at home with one's I love is my favorite way to spend New Year's Eve. A crackling fire, candles and a wonderful toasting wine for midnight makes great the ambiance. I've had a lot of great New Years Eve's. One of my favorites was the ending of 1957 when, at midnight, my beau that turned out to be my hubby, asked me to marry him and produced an engagement ring.
