Wow!
This is a great piece and I love the pictures!!! I am originally from New England and hear from my friends and family about all the snow they've been getting... they give me such a hard time b/c it's almost 80 most days here and the ice cream truck still drives by daily! LOL. Have a Happy New Year and God bless!

Living in the snow belt

     Hey Food,

This photo reminds me of October, in the Keewanaw Peninsula of the upper peninsula of Michigan. Only partly exaggerating! I moved into the tiny town of Laurium, Mi. in the winter of 1966. My funiture had to be carefully guided down a snow ramp, five or six feet below snow level. In the late spring I learned that my front yard was studded with tree stumps and a four-step front stairway to the front door. Up there, they get an average of 180+ inches of snow each year! I feel for ya, Pal. Been there, did that, and bought the tee shirt. Anyone thinking of visiting extreme northern Michigan, should be required to present a passport. If one does not enjoy country music or polkas, bring your own music with you, or suffer in silence. Silence is preferable. The language spoken in the UP is somewhat similar to English, after imbibing a few (SEVERAL) beers.

Wow, you have as much there as we do here in the mountains in Quebec! Or maybe more this year?? Nice picture! I think it may be a good idea to put your shirt on the next time you go out..and a sweater, and a coat, and mittens...etc!
