and of course the Hamas hide behind civilians, and Israel gets blamed for
targeting civilians!

"Restore Calm" - that is a rather ridiculous statement.   Maybe they should change the word "restore" to "create" or "invent" or "produce" or something else that I can't think of right now.

It seems that it is acceptable until one fights back and then we experience an uproar! Some things do not make sense! I continue to pray for peace! Shelly

Doesn’t’ seem like the world is looking at both sides of the coin, does it?

I'm with you naut: which calm? For as long as I remember, there's never been any calm in that area. Just wars. Always.

I just wish those guys would quit their squabbling.
Every assault from either side breeds new combatants, new wounds and new grudges. ick!

Yes it is sad........
Sad that those same "innocents" are the ones who gleefully elected Hamas as their representatives and pushed out the Palestinian Authority.  They gleefully welcomed them to set up shop in their neighborhoods, and joyfully cheered with each rocket explosion in Israeli territory..........

I agree. However, no matter who is firing, there are also innocents being hurt. And that is saddest of all.

I'm surprised Israel lasted this long before surgically striking terrorists who have been launching rockets into civilian Israeli shopping centers, schools and homes.  Thanks for this short but sweet assessment.  Mal

Thank you Naut for calling attention to the fact that the Hamas rockets where going into residential neighborhoods in Israel for months now and Israel was patiently waiting for the international community to recognize the violation of the cease fire and act.  That action never came and as usual, Israel had to fend for itself... Its not Israel's fault that Hamas chooses to hide behind the skirts of their women and the innocence of their children.... They are the ones who put the civilians in harms way when they place their rocket launchers in the middle of populated areas...   but life is cheap for them...as their constant attacks on innocent families in Israel  and their custom of sending young confused children to blow themselves up to satisfy their thirst of vengeance demonstrates.  Its so sad...so terribly sad.
