i belong to the cult
of the old-fashioned drip coffee maker where i hav \e to boil water and pour it through -- no automatic to it -- bought it at a yard sale for $1.25 25 years ago -- it outlasted a few Mr. Coffees.

That's my altar of awakening.

Love it!  I'm a bit of a coffee junky, myself, so I need my twelve-cup jobby.  I like to spike mine with a shot of kahlua, brandy, or Irish cream and starbucks seems to frown on that, so as usual my beliefs are too radical for the general acceptance of the cult.  Pitty!  They could be making nine dollars on that cup of java.

What a cute, but utterly valid post.  I've never been to a Tim Horton's but I am fully aware of Starbucks and Starbuck patrons with their idiosyncratic practices.  I think you've changed your blog face too, haven't you?  I'm glad you kept the little red devil.
