Naut, I understand what u r saying...
By "inclusivity" I mean creating an atmosphere / culture where everyone feels a sense of belonging to some larger community...your series, when presented with that objective, which I think u actually r doing to a large extent, has the potential to unify moderate non-muslims AND muslims to collectively help minimize terrorism everywhere, eg, by creating a desire / need to share the research / insights u r presenting with others, family, relatives, friends, to clear minsunderstandings / miscommunications, and to create a sense of common purpose for everyone's safety..I'm looking forward one day to read ur enlightened work in some major media.. best, Ash

I think the silence can be a form of agreement ! Not sure if I am saying that correctly! I like this series very much! Shelly

Very interesting and well written series..
I am not in full agreement about the majority's silence however. I know locally in the aftermath of 9-11, leaders in the Muslim community held several outreach and unity events - I attended a couple and there was strong condemnation of the attacks. There wasn't much media coverage
providing a voice to those who did speak out against extremism and the hijacking of their religion....Do you think there's a possibility this happened/happens on a larger scale - msm being at least partially responsible for this perceived silence?

Screw political-correctness. It's a lie. Lies stink.

i agree with ash in that this would be great in one of the national papers- a lot of people need to understand the stuff you aim to reach out with.
i also agree with your take, nautikos, on inclusivity that has today become nothing more than non-commitment. this timidity is society induced, and needs to gain reason. i for one, see no judgement in your piece (if you intend to judge, that is your prerogative, but i don't deduce that from what i read here). it has been extremely educational. and this awareness needs to be made common.
people need to recognise what they see in a mirror, light quality notwithstanding. political correctness is all very fine- there is a time and place for everything.

Of course you are right. To throw out all judgment is ridiculous and dangerous. Every day we have to make judgments. We have become afraid of saying the word even though in our heart of hearts we consider and decide for ourselves and act accordingly.
