hahaha...thanks for being that one guy. My faith in mankind isn't restored fully, but because of you still clings by a thin thread...lol. I'm kidding. I have tremendous faith in mankind, otherwise I wouldn't bother with these types of discussions.

Re: Isn't it odd....

LOL...what's funny is I had completely forgotten about NOW. That in itself speaks volumes about their supposed mission. There are voices, many voices that speak out against this type of sexism, but it seems there's a general lack of organization for those voices.

You can rant anytime you like!

You're absolutely right! Men AND women are both responsible for the dumbing down of women in general.  It's depressing to think what tremendous strides could be made if our energies were redirected toward more benevolent endeavors. Let's all pray that evolution is not done with us yet. Surely the powers that be had more in mind for us than this.

We've all had toxic friends before...you know, the kind that are a constant drain. Friendships move in both directions with each showing concern and care for the other. It can always be about one or the other. Good for you for dumping that kind of baggage!

And that's another contributing factor...infidelity is so rampant and accepted from men that women DO feel insecure. I recently read that infidelity among women is not surpassing that of men. The basest part of me is like "yeah, take that!" but infidelity is never okay on either side. If you can't keep your promises, don't make them. Bottom line.

But really this is just an excuse women use. In the end, it's up to us to find and promote our own worth. Our basic self-worth should never, ever be attached to the actions of others.

Y'know, I used to have "frenimies" before the term was coined.
Couldn't figure out what their problem was, I had all the mess I needed with the man I had, what could I possibly want with their old man.  It's a territorial imperative with some women, not entirely a reaction to you, but a touch of insecurity about their guy.

I know somebody, who says she's my friend; I say she's a cannibal!

Cannibal only rings me up when she wants to talk about herself; when I have problems she’s off and away away at the speed of lightning. Life is too short to waste on relationships like that. There are so many wonderful people in the world; in my opinion befriend them or enjoy your own company.

I admire your frankness!

Great post - interesting and thought provoking!
Both sexes are the cause and effect, imho. I'm always uncomfortable with being judged by my appearance - too many people, men and women, seem to think if you look nice, decent, etc. you're sweet, angelic, easy to know and understand, uncomplicated perhaps - not really true..:)
Thanks for sharing the cool, new (for myself) word..it has a world of meaning, I think.

Isn't it odd....
....that NOW(National Organization for Women) never complains about the increasing sexualization and objectification of women in popular culture?
As a matter of fact, the only time you hear from NOW is when abortion is threatened.
Once that is settled, they go back into hiding.
It would be nice if women had a collective voice against what's been happening to how they've been portrayed, especially in Rap Music culture. Rap Culture has been a HUGE factor in the bimbo-ing of women.
But, of course, this has nothing to do with the cattiness and fickleness of friendships, does it?
Sorry for the rant. LOL

Frenemies - You must have been inside my head today because I was thinking about some so-called friends that have disappeared from the radar. Your blog is very well-written and fluid. It is nice to have a place to vent. I wish I could. Have a great evening!

frenemies, lol, I like that, I think we all have some of those.
Know what ya mean about women not wanting to be freinds ,if you look better than they do...wtf...I usually just make some kinda joke to them and get them laughing their asses off, then they lighten up...as for the women who make the rest of us look stupid,  it  totally disgusts me. For instance, I have blonde hair, not into blonde jokes, although, they don't piss me off, and some are down right hilarious. But, these blondes that act all, goofy, giggly, airheaded, yet, try to be (try) sexy........ICK ! Learn how to f***in read, beatches...lol
