I'd be tempted to take Hazel's advice and take some Hostess' out of the pack and let the others assume what they will.

Ha I had the perfect answer. I always had a packet cake in the pantry and
could whip up a cake in the microwave in ten minutes from start to finish. While it cooled I would race around to the corner store for fresh cream and berries to decorate it with. It was always the first cake at supper to be eaten. From packet to eaten took about an hour.

I remember springing things last minute on my mother. How she handled that stress I do not know.
