Sounds like everything happened so quickly (with the car) that I wouldn’t bash your self too hard about not leaving a note or taking the time to figure out which car it was. Sure…in hindsight you might have handled things differently but it’s only a nick.

I understand how you feel about nicking the car but you had to get out of the way. I think what happened to you could have happened to anyone in that particular situation. I agree with Cricket's comment too! They don't know what they are missing! sam

FSI, the tidbits you have shared with us tonight are not only
