My son recently changed to a free school
which is another avenue you may wish to explore.

What good information!
I have a stepdaughter, but she lives full-time with her mom, so I don't have any choice of how she is schooled. She goes to public school, but whenever she comes and stays over, I ask her what she's been doing at school and make up something fun and creative for her to do. She's five, so she's totally into learning about everything at this point, and with any luck we'll keep it that way. If she ever came to live with us full-time I think I'd probably home school her. Your post has given me some insight into how all that works. Thanks!
