Very amusing! when anybody asks me what I want as a present, my mind goes blank!
Merry Christmas!

Buying things for women is always a challenge, and risky, too.
I certainly hear you, about the "dirty looks!" Marilyn always gives me a look that would curdle milk, when she notices me taking her new deer rifle out into the woods. It turns out that she is a lefty, or she can't raise one of her arms up above her armpit, or something like that, I wasn't really paying attention. Anyway, someone ought to get some use out of it, right? How was I to know that she is probably more of a fisherman, without spoiling the surprise for her? I know just what I am going to get her, next year! A new FISHING ROD! Boy, she sure will be surprised!

Food4T,
Funny! I totally agree with the "another thing I have to dust..." I HATE chochkies! Figurines, ornaments, stupid singing things...Just more CRAP is what it is in my mind.

With every gift I give this year
I am adding a note that says "Aren't you glad this isn't a "Chia Pet?"
Of course that only works if it isn't.

I can relate to your post because it is a major problem for most of us. At this moment I am trying to get a decent but reasonably priced gift for my nephew's birthday later this month. I now have some ideas after reading your blog.
