- Go to Republicans: A Bush challenger could definitely win!
From Bunny
I meant third-party candidates that my Republican neighbors would be likely to vote for instead of Bush.

At a minimum...
...there will be a Libertarian and a Green. The American Worker's Socialist Party usually runs a candidate as does the American Communist Party.

I haven't heard about any third-party candidates running, have you?

Keep in mind that a third-party candidate is always possible.
Also, keep in mind that third-party candidates tend to take votes from the candidate most like themselves. John Anderson is a case in point. He ran against Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford as a "moderate" Republican. If all the people who told me they would have voted for Anderson, but didn't think he could win, had actually voted for him, Carter would not have been president.

I look forward to Dean getting the Democrat nomination, because...
...this will ensure a Bush win! The American-on-the street is not such a fool as to put a left-wing
pacifist into the Oval Office. Just imagine what would have happened had a Dean been president when at 9/11. In fact, imagine what Gore would have done...I heard a speach of his immediately after 9/11, wherein he said, in essence, that he was glad he didn't have to handle the problem. He clearly stated then that Bush was going a great job.

Good Blog!
Actually, another Bush-lite like Lieberman will ensure Bush wins...for the first time. Dean is leading for a reason. He's a populist, and one honest to the Democratic Party. Not just another Republican in a cheap suit.
Perhaps your neighbors are waking up! This is good news!
