For me, this is your relationship. You two have had bad experiences in the past that led to this unfortunate incident. I commend both of you for talking it out. There may other things in the future that happen due to prior situations. The most revealing for me is that you are discussing it and trying to build that trust. Damn, if he lights up your world, keep hold of him and work on things as they come up. No relationship is perfect but communication can solve all the nuances as you go along fostering your love for each other. I think it is worth the risk of a few misunderstandings. sam
