Ciel

I celebrate Christmas because it is part of my culture, which in turn is part of who I am - it's in my blood. And I celebrate the birth and life of the man who is inescapably bound up with that culture, as are his teachings, even though I am not a Christian and do not believe he was the son of a God in whom I do not believe either. And for various complicated reasons, because it is also part of my tradition, although I am not Jewish, Hanukkah is as important to me...

And I get very stubborn when people tell me I shouldn't say 'Merry Christmas', or 'Happy Hanukkah', and use 'Happy Holidays' instead. I wish people 'happy holidays' when they're going on vacation...

Faith is found in many places. Like love. Ciel, I must thank you.
Your comments about things to remember when reading my short story have made it feel good again.

They will carry me. Thank you.
