I'm with sam. Sometimes you have to do tough things. If you care for him do what's best for him. Don't underestimate someone because he is old, he can still be dangerous. Because of his age he feels invincible, he has nothing to lose. But other people like some ones innocent loved one on the highway might pay the price.
