I read that (I read the Jerusalem Post regularly), and it may well be that the 'leak' is a warning. But I am convinced that, if necessary, Israel can, will and indeed must strike, with or without Washington's approval. You may recall that my very first post, in Jan 2006, dealt with this issue. And the Israelis don't need to go over or around the Arab Peninsula - all they need to do is cross Syrian airspace...
