You have just transported me to white Christmases in Montana... Hmmmm being a kid was such a treat... no snow to shovel... no fires light up or doze off... no wood to cut... but still all the benefits of sipping '"hotchoclatea " surrounded by books and toys... by a wonderful fireplace. We did not have cheese and crackers though, instead mom made us "churros" ( pastries made out of the yucca root, delicious and so fattening loll) Wow...Thanks Margaret... remembering all that was wonderful and so is your poem. :-)

Merkie, I'd like to try some of your hotch-o-clate. LOL. It sounds like some new kind of kiddies Christmas treat. But, I guess I'll just have to settle for
Swiss Miss.

Merkie
Sigh – reminds of when I lived in the land of snow (we don’t get much snow where I live now). You painted a lovely winter feeling….

Marshmallow
I had so much fun reading this! No snow for me here in Florida, but I remember days of New England youth with marshmallow lawns and hot chocolate afternoons!
