The worst of which has to be "I'm just doing my job" or even
"I was just following orders"; very well said my friend and something we are all guilty of on occasion!  Many blessings and thanks

I'm as guilty as anyone.
Excuses come easy, owning-up....not so.

there is always 101 reasons for excuses when one looks for it...but there is only one action needed for redemption when one is up to it... Excellent thoughts!

Hi Kolekshuns, a similar thought from "Julius Caesar".
"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves". When the ills come upon us we descend into blame, saying "it is not my fault", "I'm not responsible" ... but the fact is that we are, and nobody else

Great work! A fine rendition of the excuse mode! I do try to take ownership of my errors and correct them though! I like the rhyme scheme too! sam

The only greater deception than personal self-deception....
....is a nation's self-deception.
Excellent call for self-examination.
