This whole language business is always interesting. I had a friend (we have lost contact after he moved to Vancouver) who was born and raised in Paris. He lived for a couple of years in Montreal, but hated it because of their 'awful' French, as he put it. And I guess they didn't like
his French, lol. So he moved to Toronto, where all he needed was English, which he spoke well...

Thanks sam. It seems that the definition of pell-mell is quite similar in both languages but in French we used it more for
things that would be put together pêle-mêle (in inorderly fashion) instead of confusion (more old fashion way of using it).

Right on! I think you work very hard on your languages and it is nice when someone notices it as well.
Regarding pell-mell, I used it as helter-skelter. I don't know if that helps. Also in the words of Carl Sandburg: 'I write things I don't understand." Maybe that helps even more! lol Have a great day! Giant! sam
