A happy personal new year to you!
I find myself off-kilter sometimes, particularly when I get up in the morning, and am glad for the wall alongside the route to the bathroom. I've always thought it was a matter of congestion affecting the inner ear.

A bit late but nevertheless Happy Birthday and Many Happy Returns. That condition of yours musy be really frigthening and I am happy to hear that you are better. I think of you so foten, now that I'm writing more and more travel articles too and the woderful way you compose yours. You are a great teacher.

Birthday celebrations
I recently had one of those. (A birthday) A co-worker wished me a happy birthday. I told him that I was about ready, to stop having any more birthdays. Then I said, "I just don't want to stop having birthdays, in the USUAL way!" Glad to hear that you are a bit better. My son used to just LOVE having me hold one foot and one hand, and twirl him around like an airplane, rising and dipping as we spun. We would do this until we both crashed and burned. We called this, "Flying." He hasn't stopped flying since. The problem is, he never met a drink or a drug that he didn't like. "Me, I'm flyin' in my taxi, takin' tips, & getting stoned." Sad.

That inner ear stuff sounds horrible. I can't stand to be whirling and with nausea. I hope you were able to enjoy your birthday dinner.
