- Go to Memories of my Grandparent's House
Sweet childhood. We try to give that to our children and I especially
enjoy making silly memories for grandchildren...sweet ones, too.
Only, now I find that the dears have forgotten much of what we did, though their affection for me remains deep and abiding because of what we did back then, the facts forgotten, the emotions retained.
I repeat the stories and they believe me and adopt the memories as though remembered. Makes me teary eyed to be the lone keeper of stories, though their parents remember tales told upon returning home from Abuelita's house somedays.

so simple so real I cried all the way through, blew my nose
read it again and cried once more. Hold on forever as you say because no more will such innocence come your way.
