vogue, enjoy the blessings that have been given you....
....sacrificing your happiness will accomplish nothing towards peace.
The only thing that'll stop terrorists is the eradication of their barbaric ideology.
And the only thing that'll stop wars is top put an end to injustice, inequality and exploitation, and they are also the result of ideologies.
So, the only hope is to change mindsets in high places....good luck!!!
Living life to it's fullest gives other people hope in something better to strive for, and that is probably the most compassionate thing you can do right now.

it is so sad that these days we can't even travel the world in fear of these acts - but we can't hunker in the basement either

Just knowing that it is barrowed time we live in when we are happy is enough...We all face something horrible at least once in our life...if not more...That we know bad things are happening and can and will cause us to make our lives better and fuller....Even through the pain that we will eventually face.

Art must never
be a victim of violence. You are most definitely right to persevere, as we all must.

Vogue
We have to live our lives! There has always been, and there will always be pain in the world. And if one allows evil to affect one's life, one hands it a victory...

Vogue

In a world so riddled with sadness, division, and suffering there is plenty of room for words that take us away from these realities.  I’m good for about 2 or 3 headlines when I watch the news and then I need (and find) something more joyful to digest – like the travel channel or a cooking show.  Think of your articles about art as a contribution to maintaining a balance.

Your commiseration is enough. It shows your genuine concern for the affected families. God bless!

At the risk of sounding a little blase my dear vogue........
life goes on and although we cannot help but be horrified by these events that are happening all around the world we cannot be responsible for everyone else's karma or politics; we can only notice what is happening pray for their deliverance and solution any carry on doing what we can to make our world a little happier; many blessings and thanks

If the cheerful voices are silenced by the atrocities of this world.. what will we have left to listen to? ?? We must sing, we must laugh, we must draw, we must paint, we must fly!! Never apologize for offering hope that things can be better, less painful, less hopeless. ~Peace, OTA
