Strat I agree that the greed of today has a strangle hold on us. Isn't that what always happens to democracies? Hitler must have been Visigoth of ancestry and he sure did a lot of damage! There is little more to get from me or it will be better to not work and draw some of that passed down manna.

I am glad you posted this darling. We need to think about how rediculous
consumerism has become and how ludicous the Christmas holiday now is.
I'm glad that Wiley and I will spend most of the time alone. We can have our own true holy-day.

Thank you so much for the kind words and the truth: You are so right it is not God they are worried about it is Jesus totally and freely. It gets worse all the time and people simply will not listen. They think of themselves as so very smart. The followers of the same Satan that tempted Christ is the father of those right inside this country who will take it over one day because we refuse to see the real light of hope. They are rising up all over the world. After 9-11 and we went to war they have stopped that sort on our soil but they are coming in through other doors like our schools, our politics and our pacificists. We will wake up one day being expected to answer the five prayer calls each day. Not me. Be blessed you and yours.

In this post justi you mentioned the one thing they and when I say they, as crazy as it might sound, I mean the forces of evil. That word was jesus, that is what the problem is, for the same reason we are having christmas "they" are trying there best to do away with christ and the reason for what once was a wonderful christian holiday. It has turned into what I am sure christ once seen when the devil took him upon the mount, and said you can have all this. It was then he knew that he must give his life upon the cross. That and that alone is enough for me. We as christians need to go back and look into our past when a gift under the tree was something that brother carved from hunk poplar wood or hickory or something mama sued together from scrap pieces of linen that she had saved or a shot gun that daddy has kept for over 50 years that once belonged to his great grandpa, I could go on and on. These are the true things that we have allowed society to take away from us. We as christians need to take these things back before it is to late and for once on a certain part of the year say the heck with walmart and the heck with the mall and all the rest of them. I know that you already know these things just from reading the very rich and valuable heart felt words that you put in your post but I had to say it anyway only because for what ever reason it is, you are dear to my heart and I am feeling all christmassy thinking about it. Happy thanks giving merry christmas and happy new year and God bless.
P.S. maybe its because you got the guts to tell it like it is
