Especially considering what was at stake . . . a few bucks in savings. The only positives that can be taken from something like this are lessons learned.

I worked at Wal-Mart for 8 years
People get really stupid on Black Friday. It is like a tidal wave of people flooding the store in a mindless rush to grab anything they can. I am surprised this kind of thing does not happen more often.
I never had to be at the door when they opened. I always stayed it the back corner and watched the madness until I had to go into.
Now if I want to do shopping on Black Friday, I know enough that I don't go first thing. Just wait a few hours and you will still get the same deals as those jack asses who make a game of it all and become over aggressive to the point of danger. It really is just safer to wait and risk missing out on the deals than to try and fight those maniacs.
