- Go to Coconut and use of coconut and coconut products in food is good for health
Fats from plants is healthy, fat from flesh isn't.
Not always. Unhealthy fat is the saturated kind and this can be found in vegetable source foods too, coconut milk.

A friend told me y'day that foods have certain properties that influence behaviour. i am not talking about the effects of sugar and junk food. i believe, here in India, foods are classified according to their qualities which in turn determine the nature of human behabiour (the earth, wind, fire and ether of food). Coconut, i believe contributes to aggression!?! fascinating, eh?

I grew up on coconuts. It is a fruit with so many utility applications. I do not know whether the claims about cholesterol are true, but used in moderation it does no harm. (Do you know that the husk of the coconut made the innards of the mattress for our beds as also the brushes for the shining of our wood floors?)
