ok does it make sense to pay someone else at 2k a month or get mine own place at 1200?  to me there is no comparison.  For the past 2 years I have almost paid him $50k he can pay for his big mortgage or rake in the dough, I dont want to support him in his retirement

If your occupation is not in an essential industry or service and closes down in this contracting economy (it will get worse).....what are you going to do? You will profit on your rental but lose your down-payment if things go bust! Makes sense? Only the well off can use a busted housing bubble to gain more wealth.

yes its a good time to buy, but in this area almost all the homes are foreclosed on you hardly find one that isn't, so the process is so much longer, good luck on you log house

   Kids just don't GET IT.  I think we try so hard to make their lives good that they forget we even have one.
