this was a lovely post and full of compassion. Actually I think
bot Sarah Palin and Hillary were hit in the head by the glass ceiling but that's only the thoughts of an outsider.

Ariala, his job is fairly secure. However if he is to go looking for another he is older than others who will be looking that is not a good position to be in. I know I can trust the Lord to provide my needs if I am doing all I can do but it gets scary once in a while.

Re Corbin Dallas
Absolutely, who is going to invest in something not to make a profit? If your profits are taxed high enough to discourage investing well it won't happen. He is projecting spending money like the house on fire. There will not be enough taxes to pay and here we go printing it and it is either a massive depression or both depression and inflation where we need shopping bags to carry enough money to go to Micky D's. Rhambo is not known for propriety.

Justi, I hate to hear that so many companies are laying people off...I hope
your husband's job is secure...speaking from experience, when Mr. Ariala got laid off, it was slightly scary...he just got a new job, but he was off for 5 months.

He could turn thing around permanently if........
he would say he putting off any tax increases or huge government programs.....but he's already alienating his leftist base with his "rerun" appointments from the Clintonistas.........

Rahmbo Emanuel said yesterday that crises are good for the Obama administration.....probably more honest that he should have been

Time constants
Um, I don't think President-elect Obama put off choosing his nominee for Treasury Secretary.  He acted with deliberation, as he promised he would.  He announced the decision when the state of the process justified it.  He will continue to make his decisions deliberately, and so far he seems to be choosing capable people.  I hope he keeps it up.  A new standard of competence would be a nice change.
