Re: Sometime after I finish this NaNoWriMo project, I'm going to get busy
As far as marketing your novel, I was just commenting yesterday on someone's review of a wonderful book you should pick up if you haven't already.  It's Ariel Gore's How to Become A Famous Writer Before You're Dead.  Here it is at Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b_0_29?url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=how+to+become+a+famous+writer+before+you%27re+dead&x=17&y=18&sprefix=how+to+become+a+famous+writer.  This woman is a long-time risk taker in her personal and writing life.  She has a lot of moxy and reading her makes you feel like, "Yeah, why the hell don't I try doing that."  You can become the mouse that roared while fantasizing on using her tactics.  She is quite a cheerleader for marketing your own book.  Maryellen

Re: Thanks for the kind words.
I don't mean to be crass, but you actually earn money here.  I am just losing it.  What's the secret?  How many blogs do you write?  How "popular" are you?  When I joined I thought it would be okay if I could only earn back my $12.95 per month.  I live on the fixed income disability provides and try not to spend too much on anything superfluous.

 Anyhow, thanks so much.

It would be a pity if you left blogit. Some day ago I actually wrote a psot mentioning new memebers that I thought worth while reading and yo were one of them.

Sometime after I finish this NaNoWriMo project, I'm going to get busy
on marketing the novels. I'm not much interested in the routine details of marketing and all that, and there's been a hesitation about touting myself as the next Annie Proulx.  But I've been doing some comparison reading, and my stuff's good. So I'm going to start taking every avenue toward publication, once this one's "in the can."  To me, writing's the easy part. (yeah right) Selling is hard.
