I think this might be a
psychosematic reaction where you are so concerned about your friend that it is manifesting itself in real physical symptoms? Hope the pain soon eases for you and your friend

I've heard of this type of thing before. You are really identifying with your friend's pain. I hope he is better soon...for both your sakes.

weird,iknow the feeling
whenever my sister is in pain,i'll  call her and say, "do you have a pain in your right leg", and she'll be like, "Yeah, how did you know?" And I tell her it's because suddenly I've developed a weird pain in my leg. I swear I can feel her pain sometimes. weird phenomenon,  huh?

It is admirable that you want to share your friend's pain, but I'm not sure your physical pain is the same thing.  Please be careful, and see the doctor if this is anything unusual.
