Hmm, probably could set up a Paypal account... thank you, Ciel. I always think of coicidences as a little nudge from God, whatever we conceive God to be, so thank you.

Further follow-up

I found a review of the book, discover that Cooper and her sister Eunice did find each other again.

So the coincidence here is that there are two women of Africa named Eunice, whom I happened to hear of on two consecutive days.

More to the point of your Eunice's situation, and emphasized by the other's story, it is so easy and usual for us in other worlds to be totally unaware of the realities of life and living in distant places.

Have you set up a PayPal account to receive donations from beyond your Parish?

Found the information...
The author is Helene Cooper, the book is The House At Sugar Beach  and the coup was in 1980 when Cooper was 13 years old.

Wow, this must be some kind of coincidence,

that yesterday on National Public Radio, there was an interview with an author of a book about growing up in Liberia, having to leave, following a coup some years back. Thus she was separated from her adopted sister, who didn't want to leave her natural mother.  That girl's name was Eunice.

I didn't hear the entire interview, but could probably go searching on the NPR site, to find the whole thing.  I don't know whether the author has ever connected with her sister again, or what she found in seeking her.

You don't suppose...?
