Firstly, you must be fully healed if you could go shopping and enjoy it!
I love reading your posts for 2 reasons; the first is your writing style is very enjoyable and 2nd I get a wobbly feeling of nostalgia when you write about all these places I so miss (having said that I used to hate Lakeside but am pleased to say we have an IKEA here now - at last - as well as fish & chip suppers

) Many blessings and thanks and have a great week my friend

I've reached the point where I hate to shop! I do most of mine online....other than to very specific specialty stores, usually in neighborhoods, where I like to go soak up the ambience of the holidays. I do, however, love to hear a man enthused about shopping!

IKEA is a great store for acquiring affordable and often very unique household items. I love the store but unfortunately the one closest to me is a full day trek. Christmas shopping….ummm… this year we’ve asked the kids to dispense with presents and make a donation to a food bank instead (though my husband and I will probably exchange a present – shhh – don’t tell anyone). And, of course, the grandchildren will receive some toys. Sounds like a wonderful day, Malcolm - although you always tell you stories in such a way that we'd like to be there with you....
