Explain to me, please, the real difference between 'civil unions' and 'marriage'. I mean, if they proffer the same rights in legal terms, why do you insist on calling them different names? To stigmatize the losers who can't claim the preferred word?

no reasonable citizen is against civil unions for gays. But this "marriage" thing to me is more like a sick demand for approval made on society, of which largely and fundamentally believes homosexuality is a perversion.

I have several gay friends.....
They are conservative....one couple has been together for 26 years....it's not my place to judge them......it's between them and God. They're very strange.....they believe that marriage is a social institution that's been around for thousands of years and is between a man and a woman.
They do want civil unions....with which I thoroughly agree.
But during the latest episodes I am seeing the horrible behavior of the extreme activists as being much more out of line.......
