Its all about expressing yourself, freely. Very true.

Yes it does. Some times it takes a good long time to get it out right! Well versed! Shelly

Re: jfm32
Hi John. This what really a random thought I had written in a few lines of poetry because it triggers the muse to continue. Mabe we should start another communal poem with this beginning. I always think a poet's goal is to share a great event or emotion but best of all to leave the reader pondering the communication.Once more thank you for your indepth perception.

My first impression--a haiku? a passing thought? (and why set this thought in writing). More strongly, I feel that this is a wounderful opening stanza for the seed of a dramatic/poetic action of where a poem might begin, or come from, but I'm left wondering what it is to become. That's why I feel it is a wonderful 1st stanza (and the punctuation works!).

Your 3 lines call me to attention, and I start wondering, "what's happening here?" Thoughts are wonderful, because you never know when they're going to happen, but what do they have to do with our reality?

This is where I get brought into my impression of what these words might be about for me, and as read 1st staza, I fall into the poem, and here's what I see:

A poem can begin to happen anyplace--inside a hat or a bannana peel on a street. That you can begin with this possibility, and that I, too, accept this--means that you (the writer) are writing to me (the reader) and we are partners in this possibility (which we both accept as given).

But if there were no idea of what is whole, or why we would be participants, what would possibility be without its potential to be
(at least someting)...which brings me back to these lines, as your first stanza: For to announce the possible is to reveal its potential to be something actual (whatever that might be).

Surprised I find all this in 3 lines? Or did you sense this already?

Reader in waiting
