Go to Malcolm's midwife: Words from the heartAdd a commentGo to Armistice Day

I lost my best to war. There isn't a day I don't think of him. In fact today is the anniversary of his death. Agent orange... sam

The horrors of war...
Endured by brave men, some who gave everything they had, cannot even be imagined by those lucky enough never to have lived through it.  My father-in-law was captured by the Germans in the Battle of the Bulge and told of fighting for the potatos with grubs in them, it was as close to meat as they got.

Thank you malcolm...that was very moving...
...and I can imagine you there. In Green Park there is a Canadian War Memorial that is beautiful...water spilling over maple leafs.  And none of us should ever ever forget.

Excellent write Malcolm. We should do exactly as you suggest. Today is rather rainy and gloomy with quite typical weather for Armistice day.It adds to the gravity of remembering .
