A couple years back this guy stole an entire street.
This contractor had been involved in some public works project, and there was this two block stretch of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard paved with century-old bricks, scheduled for repaving in a couple years. So one Sunday morning he sets up barriers and detours, backs his trucks up and heists the bricks. The traffic patrolmen should have known it wasn't legit: they were in and out of there in a few hours.
