years ago, Madeleine L'Engle, in A WRINKLE IN TIME, defined a tesseract as a shape that is bigger on the inside than on the outside. Doctor Who afficionados recognize his TARDIS as such an object, and the infamous Bag of Holding in many fantasy scenes, likewise. But the only thing I know in the real world that is bigger on the inside than on the outside is a head with a mind in it.

Re: Mousehop, I believe science can explain everything,
we just haven't figured out which questions to ask... some things are 'magical' until we get to where our ability to use science shows us how they work.
If you haven't already read it, you might find Michael Talbot's The Holographic Universe interesting.

I'm skeptical about true psychics, but I like your description of the functioning of our subconscious minds. I don't need to include God in any hypothesis to describe how the brain or universe works, however. It all makes sense based on physics.
