I was not a rah, rah Obama fan (I started out a Hillary girl), but listening to him, watching his poise and dignity - he is a great source of strength to many who lost hope in our country's leadership.  I'm cautiously optimistic; to me, he is a considerate, compassionate and pragmatic thinking man who, I hope, will make a great president.  Mal

This was unlike any campaign I have ever seen and I have seen a few. I am baffled by him as well. I just don't know what to make of it either! sam

I agree with you in that McCain seemed not to want to win.  In the past he was as he so fondly said over and over a maverick...a fighter, a fresh voice in the senate and everywhere he went.  When he ran before I loved him, he was full of fire and new ideas, This time around he was not fighting to his full  potential.  I don't care what they tell me he just did not give it his all.  Be it his age or his fear that he was not up to the job it really does not matter, the fact is that the Machan of the past 8 months was not the Machan I knew from before.  And make no mistakes , he is an honest and decent man, he does  know about the average families,  probably better than Obama does, because he was always an average guy living an extraordinary life.  The choice of Palin was not a well thought out one for many reasons, but  it really has no bearing in the situation now.  Wether he did it on his own or they told him to do it, it back fired. It is what it is right?  so lets try to make the best of it.

MC CCAIN COULDN"T WIN BECAUSE AMERICA WAS READY TO HAVE A CHANGE!!!!
MC CAIN AND SARA PALIN ARE SMART, BUT AMERICA NEED SOMEONE TO UNDERSTAND LITTLE BETTER ABOUT THE AVERAGE FAMILIES.......
