Terrible and disgusting reaction to a man of stature. How stupid can some people be? I wish your country the best in their new leadership.

I am a white female and I have been saying the exact same thing !
I am so proud of our country, that it has come so far. When Obama gave his speach I cried and cried, with pride, with happiness and with the hope for a new beginning. Now I'm hearing so many horrible remarks and jokes about him, it makes me cringe. You are so right , I hope that security is at it's best, because there are way too many racist freaks that would attempt an assasination. Race war is exactly what would happen. I totally agree with you.

I think it ridiculous to even think of killing a person because of his position or his color! I pray for President-elect Obama! He is a bright young man and he needs to be given the opportunity and support to do his job! I am with you that every individual who suggests killing him goes behind bars forever. They don't have respect for themselves when they carry on in this fashion. Murder him, how utterly repulsive! sam

If G-d forbid anything happens to Mr. Obama, I don't think that his supporters would start a race war... you are not giving them enough credit. They know very well that the actions of a racist nut do not reflect the feelings of the rest of us. I did not vote for him, not even like him, but I now hope every day that he has the wisdom and ability I did not see in him before and is able to lead our nation to a better place. I think most Americans that did not vote for him are praying just as hard as I am for him to succeed and I am also positive that he is being protected against those crazys. May G-d bless him, protect him and guide him for the way our country is right now he is going to need all the help he can get to move us forward. Great post Mike :-)

Understand your concern. Good souls have to guard against ridicule, slander, conspiracy and vested interests hell bent on resistance and violence.

This is a wonderful post and I hope everyone reads it.
I'm Australian and I can promise you that if any thing happens to that family, America will take two hundred years to recover from the disgrace in the eyes of the world. Fair or not the world won't stand for it. I've travelled so much in my life time, believe me I know what I write of.
