Sometimes lonely people shop because they want someone to talk to.
But I have also had to cope with the sales person who wanted to tell me about her day, and her notions and her problems... Once, after my own long day, I said to the particular woman I am remembering, "I don't care about your day, please just give me this fish!" (It was a pet store.) She looked shocked and affronted! How dare I be so rude?!
Just last week I had another fish incident, which I wrote about in The Ciel Show--about the young woman in the grocery store who didn't know the difference between 'frozen' and 'not even a little frozen.' She really didn't know.
Wow.
Who hires and manages these people?
