Personally, I can't imagine anyone ever being ready to take on such a daunting task. I have a feeling that he will do his best and that we may all be surprised and pleased with what is going to take place if we are willing to do our part as good citizens.

President-elect Obama has already accomplished some amazing
things by inspiring others to do the right thing. He turned young people on to citizenship, received record amounts of money, united groups of people who had been polarized. If he has this kind of support, if the people get involved, good results will follow. I am very hopeful this man can heal this country's damaged relationships with other nations because our previous "leader" treated them with arrogant disregard. It would be sweet to take America off the most hated list. Thank you Greenfields, for your thoughtful blog.

Obama's aura is that of higher consciousness
I just hope he remembers his reason for being here at this time and place in history to bring our nation to a place of higher consciousness. I don't believe Bush is stupid as it is he is stubborn and made the mistake of not communicating with the American public on a more regular basis. Washington has done nothing but the blame game from both sides these past eight years. The Dems have slowed bills in committees or have refused to bring important issues to a vote. The Republicans just let it happen and showed no interest in the people, as did the Democrats. They have all been nothing but self serving. Now as a result of their failure to impose regulation on Freddie and Fannie, we have had to bail out Wall Street. The money to cover the bail out is now being taken away from Veterans. Because of budget cuts, my husband's caregiver assistance provided by the VA has been cut from 5 days a week for 4 hours to 2 days a week for 3 hours. They offered to help place him in the nursing home. Why should I have to resort to making him leave our home in his last days when we can care for him at home in his place of comfort and security with just a little bit of help? The price of nursing home care is 3 times the cost of keeping him at home. Neither party is trustworthy so we shall see what Obama can accomplish.

At least, at the very least, HE is intelligent and Bush was definitely NOT.
America has decided to vote in BRAINs as a personal choice this time. I am so glad as they had been going for cute or rowdy or contrary. Dunno.
I want Intelligent.

Yes, we must pray that our leaders will maintain their integrity
and sense for right action, amid the challenges and pressures of public life.

Change we can believe in.
Oh. Kudos to Obama. It's much easier to think he'll just be the same as Bush, and all corrupt egotistical presidents for that matter, but I'd really like to believe he's going to be different. I hope he doesn't let us optimists down.
