You are so right
We do try and encourage a range of activities for our children here. The television is part of it but not all of it by any means.

Wise words Mike. We need to be alert to survive . Where would we be if we could not entertain ourselves? Bushed??? Pardon the pun!

Great post, Muley. I happen to be one of the "freaks" who loves math problems, algebra formulae, word problems, etc. and seldom use my calculator. But, on the other hand, I hate trying to figure out new little digital equipment, especially like the little camera phones and text message thingies. I have no patience with that.

Excellent points Mike! When my kids were growing up they watched educational programs. A few of the other things because a mix is good. To this day they turn on educational programs first! We need to exercise the brain as you so aptly state! sam

Great post Mike and I thoroughly have to agree
I am so pleased I still make my adult sons use their brain (they are not allowed to use my laptop and there are no calculators at home); lest they forget I just show them how it was done in my day! Many blessings and thanks

Well said, Sir!
..I totally agree.. TV rots your mind... that's why these blogs are so important... we get to interact with real people... through writing, drawing, photo, video... and we choose what we want/like/enjoy...
